Sea World

Shamu jumping...

Baby Baluga! How cool is that!!!

Hey guys...ok...still more firsts for our new family. We always enjoy spending time at Sea Worls every chance we get during the season...so yesterday was our first day of this season. We drove to San Antonio with clear skies all the way. Got within 10 miles of Sea World & the sky was pitch black & very ominous, even thought there was a chance of tornados for awhile. So we killed some time eating & shopping & then decided to brave Sea World. After our extremely expensive mistake of not stopping at Wal-Mart for ponchos, we got some lovely blue Sea World ones for a very reasonable price...NOT...:) But were worth every penny thoughout the remainder of our day. It was a fun day of watching Emily show Faith all around & tell her where to look as Shamu comes flying out of the water, so fun to see the look on her face seeing all of these things for the first time.

We recently had dinner at some friends & found out Faith LOVES drum sticks & corn on the cob. There is nothing left on either when she is finished. Emily has decided that we could win Americas Funniest Home Videos if we'd only record her eating any of these choice foods or eating her noodles. In her culture, noise is certainly associated with a good meal. :)

Faith is doing fabulous with her language skills! We are amazed everyday. I have no doubt that she now understands most everything we say. She has started this week to speak in complete sentences. Her first one was "Rusty is eating beckfast" We don't have the r down just yet. But she was right, while we were eating breakfast, so was Rusty.

Singin'

A bit of a bumpy ride & shaky video, but it is so cute hearing her sing in English. So many cute things I want to get her saying, but just can't catch them.

"are you hungry" when she is hungry

"nite nite, see you morning" as we tuck her in at night.

"Stop talking" when she doesn't want sissy to touch something that she is working on...typically the DS game. :) It was funny the day she came home from school saying "stop talking, no talking" she had to have heard it often that day & thinks it is fun to say. :) Hope that is directed at the whole class & not just her. :)

"Rusty come...good boy"

"Mommy go" when she wants me to come. So Emily & I take turns saying "go" and "come" & then demonstrate ti. Which usually gets a good laugh. Not sure if she doesn't get get it completely now, just wants us to act silly for her. :)

Jeff showed her 1 time, let me say that again...1 time...how to make a bowl of oatmeal. All the way from getting the bowl & spoon out, pouring milk, putting it in microwave, setting the time...then letting us know when it is finished to get it out for her...she is very independent. But she got up the next morning & walked straight in there & made a bowl for herself.
